- In addition to the main PAQ courses, other courses offered by CETC
went from strength to strength, including:
- The Diploma in Public Audit
As the qualification becomes firmly established as the leading audit
qualification for those in the public sector, CETC responded by widening
the reach of courses in 2005 so all four CETC locations have now offered
courses. Find out more about the qualification
on CIPFA’s website
- Tailored courses for employers
Bespoke PAQ courses continued to be provided for PwC and KPMG students
and an in-house course was provided for the Department for Work and
Pensions. CETC continues to listen to employers and respond with solutions
to meet their needs.
- The Postgraduate Diploma in Public Finance and Leadership
/ CIPFA Professional Accountancy Qualification
This dual qualification programme began in 2005 with the first cohort
starting in February 2005. This progressive course for senior finance
personnel in the public services is offered jointly with Warwick Business
School. The second cohort started on 11 January 2006.
- The International Certificate & Diploma in Public Sector
Accounting and Auditing
CETC trainers were busy in 2005 with the delivery of certificate and
diploma courses in Slovenia as part of the International Certificate
and Diploma in Public Sector Accounting and Auditing programme run
in conjunction with the Center for Excellence in Finance. Other countries
will participate in the programme in 2006.

With such a fantastic year behind CETC the emphasis for 2006 is to build
and improve on these successes. CETC is more than up to the challenge and
we also have plans underway to celebrate our 20th anniversary in style in
September.
