CETC Students on DWP In-House Course Win Awards
Several students studying at CETC's in-house course for the Department for Work & Pensions, which takes place in Leeds and is open to students from other employing organisations to attend, celebrated winning awards at an event organised by the Southern Division of the North Eastern CIPFA Student Society on Thursday 26th July.
The second annual award ceremony and quiz night was held in Leeds and attended by over 50 people including CIPFA President John Butler who was there to present the awards.
Award winning CETC students were:
- Ian Bulmer (Dept. for Work and Pensions) - Certificate level winner
- Jess Stacey (KPMG) - Certificate level runner-up
- Jonathan Clear (Dept. for Work and Pensions) - Diploma level winner
- Jonathan Clitheroe (Dept. for Work and Pensions) - Diploma level runner-up
- Ruth Daniells (KPMG) - Final Test of Professional Competence level runner-up

This news comes not long after the success of a DWP student in being awarded the 2007 CETC John Sandbach Memorial prize for best performance at the Diploma level exams in 2006. Mark Murphy was the recipient of this prize and you can read more about the award here: John Sandbach Memorial Prize 2007.
