CETC CIPFA National Prizewinners 2008 at the April Awards Ceremony
CETC students celebrating prizewinning success have been formally honored on two occasions in recent weeks. The CIPFA national awards ceremony took place on the 28th April to reward prizewinners for their outstanding efforts in examinations conducted by the Institute.
CETC students featured prominently at the awards after scooping an impressive 8 of the 9 National prizes. Prizewinners, their employers and family members enjoyed a champagne reception, an inspirational speech from the CIPFA President, as well as a celebratory lunch. |
A second award ceremony took place on the 7th May to applaud the exceptional achievements of Andrew Cummings, winner of this years John Sandbach Memorial Prize. Andrew, who is employed by Waltham Forest LBC and studied at CETC South East, successfully completed his Diploma in June 2007 achieving the highest overall marks by a CETC student at the diploma level of CIPFA’s professional qualification. Staff at the CIPFA Education and Training Centre are extremely proud of these students and wish them every success in the future
